Shortly after Windows Vista RTM’d so did the first cracks that allow pirates to bypass the activation controls and get access to a fully-functional final release of Vista Ultimate. The crack involves copying some of the older activation files into a new Vista DVD and then using one of the beta keys to activate the OS.

I’m not really surprised that this has happened although just a little amazed that it happened so quick. I’m sure that Microsoft will be able to close down this little avenue of delight that the pirates have found, so it won’t last for long. You can read more here: http://apcmag.com/node/4560
