Subscribeyourminis – Yet Another Home Page

The online homepage market just got a little bit bigger with the release of yourminis from Goowy. The main players in this market are Netvibes and Pageflakes, along with the bigshots Google Personalised, and Live.com.
yourminis is marketed as a web dashboard and has a whole bunch of widgets that can be added to your personalised page. The site is programmed solely in flash and as such it has a rich interface that is only achievable with Flash.
Apart from the Flash aspect, I couldn’t see anything unique about this offering and I can’t really see the need for another player in this already crowded segment. It is pretty though, and is worth checking around just to see the cool interface and the nifty things you can do in a rich, Flash environment.

Thanks for your review….let me try to address how we are different.
1. Experience – we give you a much higher level of personalization than the other start pages. We also give you an environment that is much more media rich.
2. Access – You can access yourminis as a start page, browser plugin (this gives you some excellent added functionality like 1 click options for rss subscription, microformats, pictures, videos, mp3s and more. No one else offers this functionality and access. In addition we have a desktop client coming in the near future.
3. Publishing – we have a much more robust framework for publishing pages and sharing content – we will also release a community site around sharing and discovering new pages in the next 2 weeks.
